Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the University Sustainability team and support the University to deliver on our sustainability commitments.

You will play a key role in embedding sustainability across the University and driving forward the University’s Net Zero 2040 ambitions. You will lead the development and delivery of key programmes to embed Sustainable Development Goals within the curriculum, help deliver extra-curricular programmes including sustainability literacy training, and to support ‘Living Lab’ opportunities which foster academic partnerships across the campus.

The successful candidate must demonstrate they have:

  • A degree in a relevant subject or substantial relevant experience working in a similar role.
  • Substantial relevant experience in a role related to environmental sustainability and/ or teaching in a relevant field.
  • Experience of developing teaching materials.
  • Experience of planning and delivering events.
  • Experience of teaching and/or supporting teaching of ESD.
  • An excellent knowledge and understanding of the holistic nature of sustainability with experience of working in a sustainability role – including local, national and global challenges.
